2013 Readings

I am a professor and I have spent many years reading for research. At the present moment I am trying to rediscover somehting that I have lost : reading for pleasure.

I am also reading a book titled Mimicry by the German naturalist Wolgang Wickler.

As far as animal mimicry goes, I always thought that non-poisonous snakes mimicked the coral snake, for example, but it is in fact the other way aorund, and it is the poisonous snake who is the mimic.

I will be searching for my page turner today, hopefully.

Lying and Deception in Everyday Life

I said I would be reading strictly for pleasure. However, I need to finish an essay in animal mimicry, so I am reading this book edited by Michael Lewis and Carolyn Saarni, particularly a chapter titled Animals as Liars written by Robert Mitchell. Of course I am enjoying this, but I have yet to go to the bookstore or library and pick a book that I want to read for no reason at all , and look forward to reading it.

Any suggestions?
